"Impeachment inquiry" doesn't sound like "impeachment" to me.

(9,067 posts)if the public takes issue and support for impeachment drops they may never impeach. There is no guarantee of impeachment even if the public agrees or disagrees....but right now they are moving forward to see if this is the right way to go. It could result in some other punishment.

Maybe it will yet happen.

I suggest you fire up Google and seek out what an Articles of Impeachment document contains.
The Articles document is the work product of committees investigations. It will in explain, in detail, the reasoning behind the impeachment.
Then the house votes on the Articles. If there is a majority, then the Articles will be delivered to the Senate who will decide to vote on a holding a hearing.
