19. This isn't about protecting Trump

The GOP decided to circle their wagons before the inauguration, regardless of the potential political damage that Trump could cause them, and determined that a gauntlet of protecting, deflecting and denying for his term would satisfy their base and allow them to continue to wield power.

So Mr. Maguire isn't just protecting Trump. He's one of them, and he's protecting his party label. Shame they're all traitors to our Constitution and even more shameful that Americans would prefer a corrupt partisan to an honest rival.
