Trump's motivation...

There is a lot of discussion about Watergate now. The comparisons are really kinda futile this is way, way worse.

In my opinion what Nixon did was awful and there is no defense, but what trump has done and is doing is for personal enrichment , he’s making money off of us. His kids are raking in money because he’s president*. This is just not correct, it’s greed pure and simple. You cannot be allowed to monitize any public office especially the top job.
It never should have been allowed to happen. I believe that’s one reason “normal” presidents show their tax returns, divest themselves of certain holdings, set up trusts, etc..

I lived through Watergate and remember it as well as an old guy can. This is miles above whatever Watergate even could have been. I do believe that once everything comes out we will be left amazed at the depth of corruption in our government.

Trump is a soulless criminal. No a good one either. All his crap is going to destroy him.

This is just the beginning. I do hope the whistle blower is in witness protection.

power and he doesn't want to work for it. He knows that he would have lost the last election had someone not interfered in our elections and shifted things (even though they say nothing was changed, I still feel that repugs covered up where votes/etc. was actually changed, shifting bal. to HRC).

Plain simple and ugly greed and power. Undeserved too, since all of us can now see how he's using it. This is miles above Watergate and I was there (as a lot of us were). People went to jail back then, and a pardon was issued to allow the country to 'heal' and not be dragged down anymore (Ford's pardon). Since rump is clearly obstructing, and continuing to draw upon every bit of his limited time as president to continue to obstruct and not do his duties as president of the US, he should never ever be granted a pardon.
