No. I am not convinced (or even very hopeful) that the Senate will convict
but I think the Ukraine bribery/shakedown was an "in your face" illustration of corruption (possibly criminal) that the public can easily see and understand. And this allowed Pelosi the cover to go to the people and say, "We simply don't have a CHOICE anymore .."
