It's time to start preparing for life under Pence
And hopefully the leadership already has leads on impeaching him as well.
I've been thinking about what a Pence regime will look like. Given his fundamentalism and even far hardcore stance against womens rights, we have a long road to freedom.

1. Indiana hated him. I somehow doubt his "inate charm" (eyeroll) will go over better nationally either
Not to mention, he's involved in much of this crap to his eyeballs. AND, though he might be pressed to pardon Trump, he damned well knows that if he did, like Ford, it would be the absolute end of his career. He still might do it, thinking it would keep Trump's base, but somehow I doubt that would be enough.
Sure the "never trumpsters" would rallly behind him, but the hard core "base" would likely not. |

18. Sorry I just assume people use the DU Google search, as well as, Google News search

Type in things like Pence Zelensky or Pence Ukraine or Pence corruption. But here are some quick links https://www.democraticunderground.com/10142373528 https://www.democraticunderground.com/100212506849 https://www.democraticunderground.com/100212499790 https://www.democraticunderground.com/100212492665 ![]() Pence has weekly lunches with tRump. Pence is tRump's foreign policy guy and has spoken on multiple occasions with Zelensky about "corruption" hint hint (the Bidens) wink wink, so it would have to be a stretch that Pence knew anything about tRump's guilt, since everyone around tRump is involved in tRump's filthy guilt. But Pence probably not. Nothing to see here. Squeaky clean. ![]() |

25. I'm a political junkie
and I spend a ridiculous amount of time online. Nonetheless sometimes news happens without letting me know.
Let's put aside the snarkiness for a moment (both of us). Here's the thing. While I think it's conceivable that Senate will convict Trump. It's also conceivable that the Senate will convict Pence. But they will not. Not In a million years. A billion years, convict both at the same time, thereby handing over the Whitehouse to the Democratic Party. I think they might throw Trump out. His baggage is getting to much. But they won't touch Pence or hold the trial for him until after Pence is elevated, Pence selects a new VP and they confirm him. It could go the other way to. Throw out Pence as an offering and keep Trump. But I think that's the least likely scenario. |

41. I respectfully disagree. It would've been a whole lot worse if we hadn't taken the House, but
he's one vile, scary MF. I live in Michigan close to the Indiana border and I've seen the shit he's pulled and tried to pull there. He's a True Believer, a Christofascist of the first order. You think MF45's judicial nominees are scary? You ain't seen nothin' yet if that horror show moves into 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Our best hope is that he's so compromised and tainted by the stink of that thing currently infesting the White House that he'll be impotent. The gop would love him, though.

Sharia Law Pence will be horrible as President. He needs to be removed with Trump. If not, Then Democrats have to retake the House and Senate with overwhelming numbers to put a stop to the GOPs death grip on shadowing Sharia Law in their belief, speeches and legislative actions as they decry the evil of Sharia Law.

Pence's only job in Trump's twisted mind is to protect Trump. If Pence fails that he's toast. Trump will expose every dark ugly thing in Pence's closet. Trump will blame everything that went wrong on Pence.

Trump threw Pence under the bus, and I don't think he's finished. If Trump goes down, he's taking Pence with him. A more accurate statement would be "It's time to start preparing for President Pelosi."

32. Is that up to Trump?
Trump can't impeach Pence. Trump cannot simply select a new VP.
If Trump goes, Pence becomes President automatically. The only thing that Trump could do is to implicate Pence, but that is meaningless unless the Senate acts on it. And there is no way in hell will the Senate convict Trump and Pence simultaneously and hand over the 1/3 of the government to the opposition. Trump is long for the ride on this one. |

...unless there is a transcript of him breaking the law. Then the Senate would push him to resign and get Trump to select a their guy (and he will, or they will threaten to do worse to him and leak, enable, etc. every financial investigation from here to the moon and he will be broke living on welfare).
But Pence is neutered and his job will be to do one thing, don't rock the boat and jeopardize any GOP's Congress chances. Be as dull and boring and Mike Pence. |

This would prevent Pence from assuming the role of president and identifying his own Vice President. Also, by impeaching both at the same time - if removed - Nancy would become the president.
