@JoyceWhiteVance
AG Barr was so outraged & angry when he learned Trump lumped him in with Rudy Giuliani on the Ukraine call that he turned around and booked a $30,000 party at Trumps DC hotel. Timeline: Barr learns about the call mid-August, books the party late August.

(11,767 posts)People may not be understanding Barr's "qualifications" for serving in the Trump administration. The asshole was at the center of Iran-Contra, the scandal where Reagan's administration illegally sold weapons to Iran in exchange for Iran holding on to the hostages in order to win the election of 1980. The second of 3 occasions where Republican candidates conspired with foreign governments to influence elections. Barr pushed GHW Bush to pardon Casper Weinberger effectively closing the loop on the Iran-Contra investigations and allowing that treachery to go unpunished. He started the secret phone tapping on average Americans' international calls predating the Patriot Act. He pushed for "more incarceration" in a "study" in which he cherry picked data to make his point. Barr then went to work for Governor Allen (of "macaca" fame) to end parole in Virginia.
The guy is a disgusting, unethical, partisan hack through and through. He doesn't care about being lumped in with Trump and his goons. He is one of the main goons in Trump's pack of goons.
