(16,383 posts)Too many trust CNN way more than is deserved.
The only reason CNN can be so candid is Republicans also have another 98 percent of dishonest media outlets constantly spewing disinformation to millions.

(7,681 posts)Watch the video. There is some serious 'shade' thrown at the Squad.
None of us is going to get in a Twitter war with anyone else, Slotkin said flatly. If we have a concern with someone, were going to go right up and talk to them about it and were not going to add unhelpful rhetoric to an already bad tone coming out of Washington.
Have they been frustrated that the squad and Twitter wars theyre involved in get attention?
I dont care who has the headlines, Spanberger responded. I care about the legislation that we prioritize and I dont think any of us want to be the loudest voice in the room. I just want to be one of the most effective.

Interviews[edit]
Bossip has interviewed celebrities such as Kanye West, Janet Jackson, Sanaa Lathan, Russell Simmons and Damon Dash. Another exclusive interview Bossip had done is with Kim Kardashian, talking about her life, career, relationships and the infamous sex tape with R&B singer and younger brother of Brandy, Ray J.[1]
Awards[edit]
In October, 2006, Bossip published its first annual Style Awards with Diddy getting the title as best dressed African-American celebrity and Serena Williams as worst dressed.[2]
Two months later in December, Bossip published a new "award" for most annoying celebrity of 2006 with R&B/Pop singer and actress Beyoncé Knowles as 1st position, Actor Taye Diggs at 10th position and rapper Kanye West with an honorable mention.[3]

(97,623 posts)Bossip is a gossip and entertainment site. Our current crisis is not gossip or entertainment. At least not to me.
I saw the CNN interview with the five. These woman were expressing their views and their work ethic. These women are working just as hard as the ones you name/ they named themselves, the Squad. I saw no such thing as "Whitewashing" as Twitter seems to be pushing. I see hard working women doing their jobs.
The article is nothing more than a way to divide these women into isolated quadrants. Then twitter drags in Auntie Maxine to give them some credibility. Do NOT ever use Auntie Maxine as a tool. Not ever.
Black and White. Fact is they are all women.

We don't need a party of 100% moderate or Progressive. We are a diverse nation in our political beliefs and we are a country of many colors.
Bossip is just trying to stir up shit, just like the twitter feed. Whitewashing my ass.

(776 posts)22. Then maybe these five shouldn't be doing CNN profiles and WP 0P-EDs
about how they're "badasses" and other members are "adding unhelpful rhetoric to an already bad tone coming out of Washington." etc
So what you are saying here loud and clear is that only women that you agree with should have a voice and the ones you don't should sit down and shut up.
Frankly? I for one wish to hear from all of them. May not agree with them all, yet their voices should be heard.

I will be happy to entertain, as I'm sure most of us will be, any and all concerns in a couple of weeks when our lives (Civil War) doesn't bear fruit. The stakes TONIGHT are too high.
I beg of you, please. Put it on the backburner for now.

This country has NEVER been civil to people of color. Even when Obama was president, elected members of Congress publicly called him a liar, a Muslim, and said he should go back to Kenya. They called Michelle an ape and worse. Civility in our governmental process has been a white fantasy.
Meanwhile, I don't want a Democratic party that can't take criticism from within. Obama ran on Hope and Change. How about we listen to people of color and validate their observations on the process for a change.

(67,782 posts)...the dust up between Cortez and Tammy Duckworth regarding Midwestern political ideology last year? Who turned out to be correct?
Remember the campaigning by so-called Democratic "progressives" in the Midwest last year? Who wound up on top? It was moderates like Lacy Clay, Sharice Davids, Gretchen Witmer, et. al.
"Middle America" politics is completely different from East or West Coast politics (and I'm a native New Yorker) Which states lost the election for us in 2016? Not Washington, Oregon, California, New England, New York, New Jersey, etc. It was Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin, Indiana.

No one was "erased." The point was that more moderate people are coming around to impeachment. Geez some people just want to be victims. It is not lacking "courage" not to support impeachment right away when they were from reddish districts. Making it about race when it was about the nature of the district is just trying to be a victim. And these are Democrats, not even Republicans, or deplorables.
The one thought the rhetoric from AOC was "unhelpful." That's supposed to be racist, you see, just disagreeing with AOC. Or not even that, just saying her methods aren't persuasive to the majority.

(1,977 posts)There were others that tipped the scales. Ones like Angie Craig in MN who took over a district from Jason Lewis who couldn't come out in favor of impeachment right away but because we have to hold numbers to keep the house and knowing that there are a lot of moderate constituents in her district she had to wait. There are a lot of those folks that in the end yes... did tip the scale.
