While teaching about the.civil war, she said "where I come from they call it the war of northern aggression." That was in the late 1980's. My jaw dropped!

And within 4 months of moving to NC, in 2002, I saw a man from SC wearing a t-shirt that said "South Carolina, standing alone against Northern aggression since 1861" Jaw dropped again.

I also just found a New York Times article from March 16, 2011, titled "Not Forgotten" where it is mentioned.
