What if Moscow Mitch made a deal with Chuck and Nancy

To get rid of trump once Nancy had the votes in the House?

Something different is going on now. We may have reached the tipping point. McConnell is saying he has to bring a trial in the senate if the house impeaches trump but we all know that Mcconnell changes the rules whenever he feels like it.

the end of the careers of Susan Collins, Corey Gardner, probably Tom Tillis, possibly even McConnell himself, and several other Republican Senate seats.

Acquitting Trump of blatantly criminal behavior that everyone can see quite easily will seriously make the Senate likely to flip to Dems.

They're suddenly acting rationally to save their own seats. What's up with that? They should all be carrying water for Chump, kissing his ring, and then they'll all go down together.

You can be sure republicans are scheming to try to get out of this as best as possible - with trump. They aren't showing their cards yet.

I would say that term limits on legislatures *empower* special interests and *increase* partisanship. As much as I hate Moscow McTurtle, term limits on legislatures can create a lot of unintended consequences.
