(4,554 posts)a kind effort but it's not clear why they had to be removed in the first place. Why not leave them in place??

(28,117 posts)Guess the folks didn't want them under their porch for some reason?
maybe they have small kids and mamma was aggressive when they were around.
Whatever their reasons, I'd be thrilled to have a fox family under my porch.
We do have a neighbourhood fox that I see every few days (beautiful creatures) but no-one has been able to tell where his/her den is.

(4,554 posts)both fox and coyote pups (was once a Wildlife Rehab volunteer) and I didn't notice anything of what I would call an unusual reaction in the video. Possibilities are they have not yet developed a fear of humans and/or, they have been exposed to humans previously (having been living under a porch) and have become habituated. The mom is perhaps also habituated (not a good thing - possibly killing them with kindness).

(28,117 posts)Aww, sweet babies. 💕 I'm glad they took care to save these pups. If you don't keep chickens, rabbits, or smaller geese, there's no need to hate on foxes.
As you know, I've an attachment for our playful, little gray foxes that often walk with us at night and visit our yard.
"Foxes are known to be friendly and curious. They play among themselves, as well as with other animals, like cats and dogs do. They love balls, which they will steal from backyards and golf courses.
Although foxes are wild animals, their relationship with humans goes way back. In 2011, researchers opened a grave in a 16,500-year-old cemetery in Jordan to find the remains of a man and his pet fox."

(2,459 posts)living in our yard. They dug their den right on the walkway to an outbuilding. I plan to give their home a proper address and signage. After all, they do keep our home rodent free and the kits are fun to watch playing.
