Just hopped off the phone w Giuliani who wanted to discuss Volker & asked him about Trump’s comment: “I see that as exactly what a president should do.. I’m not saying Trump never did anything wrong but there are other people who did things wrong, too.”

"I'm not saying Trump never did anything wrong." One of the keys to Trump's career is to never apologize, never explain, directly out of bad business school writings in the early 1970s. To admit, even obliquely, that Trump has made mistakes or done something wrong will get Giuliani booted from the inner circle faster than any of his erratic antics over the last week.
