1. Just got my flu shot and the second Zoster shot to prevent shingles.

Flu and pneumonia are leading killers of us senior citizens. I may be waiting to die but I'm in no hurry.

But I'm allergic to flu vaccine, so I appreciate those who can get the shot doing so, so I can piggyback on their herd immunity.

5. After my flu shot, I felt fine. Then

the next day, I felt icky. Luckily, it was only for the duration of the day. Usually, the evening of my shot I feel terrible. Not sure why I had a delayed ickiness, but it’s better than getting the flu!

but my arm is usually sore as a toothache for a couple of hours in the evening on the day of the shot.

14. I got the pneumonia shot about a month ago..Debating

if I should get the flu shot. I have never had a flu shot. Hope I don’t mess myself up by getting it.

21. I always got those side-effects

(and worse), and sometimes get the flu anyway. So in my case, it was a choice between not getting the shot and maybe get sick, or get the shot and definitely be at least as sick once, maybe twice.

This is why, ten years ago, when I was in the hospital for a knee replacement, when someone I didn't know came into my room announcing he was there "to give you your flu shot," my response was "the hell you are."

19. I got mine today, too. I was at a routine, unrelated check-up and the

nurse practitioner asked if I'd had one already or wanted to have one, so I gladly took her up on it.
