Why would he think he's toast? Nobody faces consequences. Subpoenas and judges' orders mean nothing. Garrett78 Oct 2019 #2

The senate won't remove him
The congress can't enforce its subpoenas, which are always ignored
The courts are slow-walking everything
An unknown number of adversary countries are involved in his 2020 campaign
The media is still propping him up, giving airtime for wild conspiracy theories
His staff continues to travel overseas, selling out the country
He and his cronies are still shoveling taxpayer money into their pockets
Migrants are still being brutalized

The list is practically endless.

Trump approval climbs to highest level of 2019 amid impeachment inquiry (at least this is a bit of an outlier, but this is also a poll that certain people love to post daily in regards to the Democratic primaries due to it being favourable to their candidate, so if they buy those results, then they have to give this some credence as well)

President Trump’s approval ticked up to 49 percent — its highest mark this year, according to a new Hill-HarrisX survey released on Wednesday.

The figure marks a 2-point increase from a Sept. 11-12 poll, but a 2-point decrease from its previous peak of 51 percent in August 2018.

Trump's disapproval rating, meanwhile, dropped to 51 percent, which marks his lowest level so far this year.

Rachel Maddow specializes in pretending something changed from a day prior. Something meaningful. She'll grin and gesture and emphasize and repeat. If you are a gullible type and don't know any better you'll actually be stupid enough to think Trump is in trouble. Last time I was here there were threads insisting he would be gone by January 1.

It never ceases to amaze me that people are desperate for details every day. They actually believe new details matter. Meanwhile Mitch McConnell wakes up and walks into the senate chamber. You really think anything changed overnight? Or within the past 700 mights? Or anything tomorrow could shift anything?

Once Donald Trump was electorally elected we were stuck with him. The system is not designed to deal with a slime like Donald Trump
