General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsI ran across this group on Facebook and it looks very suspicious
It's called "I Back Democrat", which right of the bat looked off. When I first investigated, I saw an associated PAC, LLC and can't find it now. Everything posted there was pro-democratic, anti-Trump. No surprise there but it sure doesn't feel right given the name.
Anyone know anything about the group?

(10,943 posts)... and was a little wary. The posts look okay... but none of my friends "like" that one. Nobody has shared from them... they have not shared from sites I like... Maybe it's new. I do see some related sites, which are liked by friends, though.

(2,188 posts)Who says Democrat in that sentence, without the "s"?
And good on you, OP, for finding that AND sharing that!

(19,502 posts)Someone whose English is poor (definitely not a first language) and who heard the Fox dictate of never ussing "Democratic" as an adjective.
The person understood that "rule" but badly misapplied it.
I'm guessing a writer whose native language is not even one of the Romance Languages.

(64,323 posts)It could be a phishing site. It has "attractive" media, but then forwards your data, addy, etc to more malicious sites. At best it sounds like one of those clickbait sites that ends up sending you tons of spam.
I won't click there, and thanks for the heads up.
I make it a rule to not click on blind links any more, political or otherwise.
