Pig In The White House: Conservatives Rage At New Book Mocking Trump
October 8, 2019 By Michael Stone
Source: Patheos.com
Snowflake alert: Conservatives are raging because a new book, If You Give a Pig the White House: A Parody, dares to mock President Trump.
The book, released earlier this week, was written by Faye Kanouse and illustrated by Amy Zhing, and is described as the adult parody of the beloved childrens cautionary tale, If You Give a Pig a Pancake.

And writing on the Barnes and Noble complaint board, one concerned Trump-loving conservative opined:
Why is this book in your store? This is absolutely disgusting, especially since it is targeting the minds of young children. I will never EVER shop your stores again if this book remains in your stores. I imagine if this was a parody on Obama, with is likeness to pig on the front . . . would that be OK for you? The fact that this book is being sold by Barnes and Noble speaks volumes about what you decide to sell . . .

(146,286 posts)Dear Sir,
We are in receipt of your complaint. However in checking our records, we find nothing that indicates that you have ever purchased a book from Barnes and Noble. So, you will understand if we completely ignore your rant and threat. You are welcome, however, to visit your nearest Barnes and Noble store or our website, where you can find books on all sorts of subjects. Reading, Sir, is FUNdamental.
Good day to you,

Idunno...maybe because it's a book and we're in business to sell them?
"This is absolutely disgusting..."
Matter of opinion. Thanks for yours, by the way.
"...especially since it is targeting the minds of young children."
...except it's not. What part of the adult parody of the beloved childrens cautionary tale, If You Give a Pig a Pancake did you misunderstand?
"I will never EVER shop your stores again if this book remains in your stores."
Wow.
ONE less Trump-humper trolling the Periodicals section looking at the pictures in "Guns & Ammo" and not buying? How will we EVER cope?
"I imagine if this was a parody on Obama, with is likeness to pig on the front..."
Considering some of the stuff we've actually seen published, did you really think we'd have to imagine?
"...would that be OK for you?"
If we can sell it? Actually, yeah.
"The fact that this book is being sold by Barnes and Noble speaks volumes about what you decide to sell..."
Again...we're a bookstore that sells books. What the hell were we thinking?

* Okay, so they're MY responses and not B&N's ... but wouldn't it have been great if they DID respond that way...?
