Write your representatives.

I just sent a rather lengthy and not too kind email to Ron Johnson with regard to his pathetic statement in today’s Milwaukee Journal - “I think personally the greatest threat to our democracy right now is literally this effort to sabotage a new president.” What rubbish! I reminded Mr Johnson of the eight years of relentless hammering of Obama by Republicans. I reminded him of Moscow Mitch’s statement on day one of Obama’s presidency to make Obama a one term president. We all know how well that worked out.

I encourage all of my DU friends to take the time to write to their representatives. Bitching here relieves some tension but we’re preaching to the choir. Now, more than ever, we need to let our elected representatives understand how many of us stand in opposition to becoming an autocracy.

Now is the time for all good men...............

I also suggest to send it Return Receipt. But don't stop at that, Call, Call, Call. Call all of their state offices and DC as well. If I l had a Republican in Congress I would also peacefully visit their office as often as possible. I would also try to mobilize others locally to hand out flyers and peacefully appear outside their office on a regular basis. I would try to use humor and drama with flash mobs or costumes to garner local news coverage...Many people only get their news from their local outlet....Get the word out...Get it out gently but firmly. Find ways to educate those around you without hostility. (I know, I know....it's hard) And BE BRAVE but don't be stupid.

certified with return receipt. That really gets their attention -- if you take the trouble to send paper, and pay postage -- they know you are serious.

He said he was elected by the people of Indiana to support president trump and that's what he intends to continue doing. Ugh.
