What real choice does Trump have?

If he admitted to his many crimes, the red-hatted Trump cultists would experience severe mental trauma.

If he admitted to his many crimes, his GOP enablers would be revealed to be the fools and apologists that we know they are.

If he admitted to his many crimes, FOX personalities would be exposed as what they really are. And it is not journalists.

If he admitted to his many crimes, the US corporate controlled media might have to stop pretending that Trump's lies are in any way simply another possibility. And the media loves to present right wing lies as a counterpart to the truth.

If he admitted to his many crimes, Trump would exhibit integrity that he has never shown in his life.

So what real choice does he have at this point?

3. This is why I'm starting to wonder if resignation is a possibility.

His ego won't allow him to be voted out or subjected to our legal system. He could conceivably resign and save face by making himself into a martyr. He also has his "empire" to consider. He could resign, avoid the stigma of impeachment, avoid (in his mind at least) many legal difficulties, and still have his Trump Organization.

I don't say resignation is likely; however, from a narcissist's point of view, it seems the best option I can see.

EDIT: One more likely possibility is that in a fit of anger he takes down someone in his inner circle, and they all collapse together. That could still lead to resignation, or to immediate impeachment that even Republicans can get behind. I still have doubts he would face that scenario, though, rather than resign.

He's downright envious of Xi and Kim Jong Un, and has said so. The creep.
