3. So Turkey wanted the Kurds out of N. Syria

and the Kurds didn't want to leave N. Syria because they regarded it as their territory, and they were being protected by US forces. Then Trump withdraws US forces which allows Turkey to invade N. Syria and start killing them. Trump gets a whole shit-ton of well-deserved blowback, including from GOPers. So then he sends his kissass lackeys Mike Pounce and Pompeo to negotiate a brief cease-fire during which the Kurds can withdraw from N. Syria without being shot at. And Erdogan gets exactly what he wanted in the first place, which is the Kurds out of N. Syria. These numpties couldn't negotiate getting a used car dealer to throw in a set of floor mats.

bits and pieces. There are several types of Kurds, and they don't always like each other. Most are Sunni, but there are some Shia, Alewites, and even some Christians and Zoroastrians.

I think Turkey's biggest fear is that an independent Kurdistan could be carved out of the area. Like Israel was carved out. Simple minds don't really understand how this three-dimensional chess works in a real world.

Turkey was pulled kicking and screaming in to the 20th Century by Ataturk, but it still doesn't feel comfortable with it.

And it has never acknowledged its attempted genocide against the Armenians. The Ottomans were allied with Germany in WWI and the Armenian holocaust no doubt gave Hitler some ideas.

That's really the only question. Were his towers threatened and he gets to keep them for letting Turkey did the ethnic cleansing it's wanted to do for the last 40 years but which the USA prevented before the traitor tot stole the office. Did he get Erdogan's promise to shut up about Khashoggi and not release the tapes showing he and jared were co-conspirators in the murder? Or, was it done at PUtin's orders to decrease our influence in the ME and increase theirs? So much treachery needs to be uncovered so we can make our laws stronger so this never happens again.

Things stalled and he didn't know what to do so he walked away and claimed victory.

He got away with this in real estate because no one cared but the people he owed money to. It doesn't work that way in this world.

with approval. I feel that the king of Cappadocia
was related to the Kurds and to Chrestus. He was
not Jewish nor was he Christian. He was (I feel but
really do not know) a descended from the Persian
wife of Mithridates V (who poisoned Mithridates V).
This sets up family and land discord.

Thanks for your post TreasonousBastard. I just want
to offer support for the Kurds only because they are
a people who are misrepresented.

The curious story I am pursuing is that I believe (not know)
that Julius Caesar was the father of Sextus Pompey and
the great grandfather of Aemilia Lepida (who was betrothed
to Lucius Caesar).
