Richard Engel: ..."Tonight they were sold out by Trump..."

The kurds lost their homeland in Syria which they fought for with US forces in the battle agaist Isis, losing 11 thousand of their men and women. Tonight they were sold out by Trump who says he saved millions of lives. It will be remembered by the kurds as the greatest betrayal.

Death makes him feel powerful.....He does not grieve for our soldiers lost in battle, nor our victims of mass shootings and families at the Mexican border.......all is an opportunity to feed the voters base...for votes, gruesome adoration by his cult, blood thirsty/angry minions.

Trump greenlighted the invasion and slaughter of US allies and handed Syria over to Turkey, Russia and Assad. An incredible betrayal. Then trump took a victory lap because his masters gave him a pat on the head.

is a good reporter, I will believe what he has to say after tRump said everything is great in Turkey after Pence and Pompano went there which is a lie.

after he said this:

Trump: "The Kurds are happy. Turkey is happy. The US is happy. Civilization is very happy."

he can just STFU

There's even an airport nearby, and I don't know anyone who would object if the Kurds took that land as their own. I'm sure Theresa May, or Boris Johnson would not give a damn if the Kurds took it as their own, for the inconvenience Trump has caused them. Besides, the British would have to despise Trump as much as the rest of us. Who'd get into a war over a confiscated hotel and a golf course. Besides, Trump probably never finished paying for it anyway, and I'm sure he left owing the previous owner some money and lots of vendors unpaid, so turnabout is fair play.

Besides, I'm sure the US would not send troops to Scotland to try and retake it. In fact, consider it yours, Kurds, for any inconvenience Donald Trump may have caused you over the past 10 days when he caused an unnecessary crisis in Syria, leaving mayhem, chaos and destruction behind. Save your thanks. It's yours. Enjoy the place.

Who ordered the withdrawal? It certainly wasn't some E5 or even a four-star over in the pentagon.

There is only ONE person who is the C in C. Commander in Chief and his name is Donald J. Trump.

Kurds inhabit large swaths of land inside of Syria, Turkey, Irag, and Iran. Each of those countries would like to be rid of the Kurds. Turkey however, had been the one actively trying to do so.

Russia just sees it as an opportunity to gain more power in the region.

Iraq is next. Lots of oil in Iraqi Kurdistan, and a chance for Turkey to rebuild its Ottoman empire.

Since this is another war of all against all, who knows how it will go. Turkey didnt seem to show itself
as very competent in the ISIS war, so there may be some surprises up ahead.
