Question about Oversight Committee now.

Been out of the country for a few days so missed a lot of news. So sad to hear about Rep. Cummings. I'm a MD resident, although he wasn't my Representative. Such a huge loss for Maryland and America.

Has there been any mention of what happens with the Oversight committee now? Who would take over the Chair position and will that committee still be heavily involved in the impeachment inquiry?

is my representative and she's been vociferous about Trump's abuse of power and the need for impeachment. I get her emails and here's a couple of paragraphs from a recent one:

"Hello,

After abusing his power, betraying the Constitution, deceiving the American people, and making a disaster of our foreign relations, Trump now says he “won’t participate” in the impeachment investigation.

That’s not how it works, Donald. This isn’t a game, and you don't get to just sit it out because you want to. No one is above the law.

I have been calling for impeachment for months. And not only will I fight to see that the investigation is swift and aggressive, but that Mr. Trump and his puppets are all held accountable for their crimes."
