Should I be worried?

I work in downtown Des Moines, Iowa, on the 21st floor of a building. I just looked out the window and saw 6 Blackhawk helicopters flying south over the Des Moines River. I've been in the same office since 1991 and have never seen anything like that (putting aside the helicopter scene from Puppet Masters which was filmed here).

Are there really "black helicopters?"

1. There are helicopters that are black.

Probably not the "black helicopters" of urban mythology.

Most likely a training flight. There are training routes all over the US.

3. They use the Iowa River

as some kind of low flying maneuver course. Probably national guard. We see them regularly on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

probably about 300 feet, but I have never seen them before, and I've been here a long time.

and we see them regularly around here.
