Hillary might be right about Tulsi. I don't know. But...

This discussion thread was locked as off-topic by Yonnie3 (a host of the General Discussion forum).

Hillary just elevated Tulsi's stature by throwing a spotlight onto her. Tulsi was going nowhere. Hillary's attack gives Tulsi just the excuse she needs to run third party if she wants to, so in my opinion, among other things, Hillary's attack was counter productive even if you share Clinton's concern. Plus it is a "Democratic infighting" media distraction just when the media was casting a constant floodlight on Trump's misdeeds. Bah.

Tulsi Gabbard responds with a screed of tweets calling Hillary Clinton "the queen of warmongers, embodiment of corruption, and personification of the rot that has sickened the Democratic Party for so long," accuses her of being behind a "concerted effort" to destroy Gabbard's reputation and demands Clinton get in the presidential race because "It was always you" and "this race is between you and me" ...

These are the scenarios you describe:
- Hillary is right but keeps it to herself. It turns out to be true and Gabbard makes a 3rd party run
- Hillary did make it public and Gabbard makes a 3rd party run...because Clinton gave her the excuse for it
- Hillary is wrong about what she said

I believe that someone like Hillary has very good reasons when she makes comments like this in public which makes me doubt the third option. If she has solid info, it would be foolish to demand that she should just ignore that.

But it is interesting to see how many come out now (I don't mean the OP), in this thread as well. H. Clinton has a special talent to make people reveal themselves. Gabbard certainly did it yesterday and removed any doubt.

Democratic candidate in the 2020 field.

Certainly there are a smattering of people who genuinely do. But there are also a cadre of disinformation cockroaches slithering online. And some of them are inevitably going to park themselves right here, in our forums.

Like I say, I trust Hillary.
