WH trade advisor Navarro: It's "confidential" whether Trump is pressing China to investigate Biden

Jim Sciutto
@jimsciutto

I just asked WH trade advisor Peter Navarro half a dozen times if Trump would press China to investigate Biden as part of trade talks and he refused to answer citing “confidentiality”.

closed doors, that's a straightforward question that should be easy to answer (unless the answer will make Trump look bad).

Where's the transparency? I suggest democrats storm the trade meetings until they're all held in public for all to see! Let's take a page out of the GOP playbook, huh?

and if people have to compromise in front of cameras they look week. If they compromise between closed doors they can do it with a bit of confidence they won't get dinged by their followers.

That said in this case it's a clear yes and no question - and there should be no difficulty answering that question.

They just need to say 'yes, Trump asked us to investigate his political rival' and it's all over for Trump. Meanwhile they can extort Trump all day long for tremendous advantage and profit.
