Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) is doubling down on his criticism of the House impeachment inquiry, using a fundraising pitch to accuse Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) of running a "kangaroo court."
"Well Nancy Pelosi is conducting a kangaroo court over in the House, denying the president his due process rights that every American is entitled to," McConnell says in the Facebook ad. "If I have your support, I hope you'll donate now."
McConnell's campaign, according to Facebook's ad library, began running the ads on Thursday.
Each version of the Facebook ad includes the same video pitch from McConnell, but paired with five different captions that blast House Democrats over the impeachment inquiry.

In a few months to a year McConnell's going to deny ever knowing Trump.

(24,504 posts)Who can blame him....he's as corrupt as much as Trump when it comes to that sweet, Russian dark money that keeps them a viable Party.
One thing is for sure, the moron's that vote for these traitors don't have any money to back their candidates.

I hate Mitch with a passion. I just donated to Amy McGrath again today because I want him out so badly. And I don't even live in Kentucky.

It's so bad that many teachers will be voting for Bevin in a couple of weeks.

I don't know how to break through. Facts are countered with emotion.

(54,397 posts)It was more complicated to record than I had originally imagined. All the really good pedal steel players are in Nashville, but the one guy in Atlanta who came close did his best, and so we went with that. This time, I had nothing to do with planning the video. That was all done by The Parody Project.

If you get a moment, write a note on the youtube comments to counterbalance all the hate comments from the radical right that I got on that. It seems I struck a nerve with that one, although I didn't write any of the video, just the lyrics and did some music directing from afar.

(54,397 posts)We've only done about ten collaborations, but they have all been pretty well received--or pretty well trashed by trolls from the radical right and the Russians, which is just as good.
The collaborations are clearly marked as being done with The Freedom Toast. For those, I wrote all the lyrics, and we sometimes did the music as well (Dumb Down, Strangers on the Right, Moscow Mitch, Washington DC, In D.C., Fun Fun Fun). On others, I just sent the Parody Project some lyrics suggestions, and they ran with them using their own ideas on how to do the music, notably Mar-a-Lagoville, Act Naturally and When Johnny Comes Rolling Home. We are both fairly well-versed in lyric-writing and music, so when we find common ground, the result is usually pretty fine! Plus they are accomplished video studio technicians, so we rarely need to go "outside the family" to get anything done.
We are currently working on a devastating parody of an old song that has to do with the devastating fires in the West. Keep an eye out!

All Trumps nonsense seemed so far away
It made sense to no one anyway
So who cares what he has to say?
Suddenly
Hes not half the man he used to be
He was not too much to start, you see.
And so, he fails so misrably
Why he has to go
We all know, no need to say
Trump does all things wrong
So we long for yesterday

(22,976 posts)The BENGHAZI!!! (tm) panel spent more than $7.8 million over two and a half years. A bunch of political flapdoodle and not a single conviction of anyone.
And all the various tabs (including FBI) run up on the investigation of Hillary Clintons emails are estimated at $30+ million. Any shady wrong-doing found there? Any convictions? Nah.
Now heres Donald Trump. A man who says and does whatever the fuck he feels like, because hes a Frankenstein run amok and the Republicans who laid the groundwork (for decades) to rein in democracy in order to retain power by demonizing American citizens, science, facts and the real world are suddenly afraid of their beast in rented armor.
Sorry, Mitch, but theres a large marsupial taking the witness stand.
