A question and some comments regarding Trump's chest-thumping announcement:

Has the origination point for the helicopter raid been made public? I have not heard that mentioned, but with Trump's comments---"hour and ten minute flight", "over Russia-controlled area"--- it should not take long to determine.

I read elsewhere this morning that Baghdadi had, in fact, stepped down from leadership in August due to increasing "limb paralysis" from shrapnel wounds and had named his own successor.

I believe Trump mispronounced Baghdadi's name a different way each time he spoke it.

In my opinion, the most notable feature of Trump's spew was his repeated insulting references to the dead man. He called him a "coward" and said he "died like a dog", "sniveling and whimpering and crying". He made other derogatory references to Baghdadi that I can't recall as I type this and went out of his way to belittle and insult him again and again. I certainly have little sympathy for Baghdadi, but this seemed small and childish---and DANGEROUS!

If the 14 to 18 thousand ISIS members who remain needed any extra motivation to lo off more American heads and plant more bombs, Trump the Proudly Ignorant just provided it. What's next---"Neener, neener"?
