Well, we have to admit, it did get the attention of all the Sunday morning news shows...

It did accomplish that.

We know from history that the bigger the lie, the more people are likely to believe it.

Since this story was announced a few hours ago, a lot of questions have arisen. Why inform Russia but not our Congress? Why was he golfing at the time of the reported raid? Did Russia or Turkey know the location of Baghdadi? Etc.

More questions and more facts will come out in the days ahead.

After America has had time to catch its breath, they notice a slight stench in the air.

Turkey permitted ISIS to freely move across its borders. Why would Turkey publicize that it outed Baghdadi and get them pizzed off and open their country up to terrorism?

Something doesn't smell right.

...and invite retaliation.

Trump probably said more than he was supposed to say?

My guess is that they gave Trump the location of Baghdadi or someone Trump would believe was Baghdadi?

barr's as if they are the same but on different sides.

You gotta admit repubs are evil and much better at the messaging and propaganda then we will ever be.

That's how this could all go horribly wrong for us.

Republicans have no moral compass and their goal is to obtain and maintain power. They have a much easier task than do Democrats who want to inform the people about complicated political, ethical, and moral problems facing the world that do not have easy answers.

People say that evil is usually one step ahead. The bad guys are usually outsmarting, out running, etc... the good guys. This is why. When your only aim is to create chaos and doubt so that you can get away with crimes TODAY, your job is easier and you can do it faster than people whose job it is to balance the actual complexities of life.

I would love for Democrats to be able to respond quickly and decisively to Republican treachery, but unlike Republicans we have to consider collateral damage and we do not want to become the lying, traitorous cowards that they are in order to beat them.
