Schumer statement on al-Baghdadi ends: "New Yorkers know all too well the destruction a small group of terrorists thousands of miles overseas can cause from so far away. I look forward to receiving a briefing about this raid and the plan to deal with the escaped ISIS prisoners."

(16,736 posts)You know everything with "Damaged Donald" is personal. Did he (personally) say anything about Elijah Cummings passing? I sincerely doubt it. He hates anyone who questions/ calls out or opposes his magnificence. I truly think he would be right up there with Kim Jong Un, Putin, Stalin, etc. if we can't hold democracy. He's a true sociopath and will relentlessly push until...?

(12,553 posts)My warmest condolences to the family and many friends of Congressman Elijah Cummings, he wrote online. I got to see first hand the strength, passion and wisdom of this highly respected political leader. His work and voice on so many fronts will be very hard, if not impossible, to replace!
I was shocked that he said ANYTHING. Although i'd bet someone else wrote it, it was still his Twitter

Hopefully not on US soil.

(4,490 posts)Glad this guy is out of the picture, but lets not forget about the dozens of high value targets Trump basically freed. A bunch of terrorists escaping their prison camp is how al-Baghdadi rose to power in the first place.
