At Least 20 Billionaires Behind 'Dark Money' Group That Opposed Obama Exposed

Great work by CREW!

A nonprofit group with a bland name, Americans for Job Security, spent $5 million supporting Republicans in the 2010 midterms and $15 million denouncing former President Obama in the 2012 election, but until this week, the group never had to file disclosures showing where its money was coming from.

-

The biggest individual donor to the group appears to be Charles Schwab, the brokerage titan worth an estimated $7.8 billion. Over the span of three months in 2012, he donated nearly $9 million. Gap cofounder Doris Fisher—along with her sons Robert, John and William—gave another $9 million.

Not that that would hurt those rich mother fuckers but if you have 7.8 billion $s why do
you have to fuck with the elections?

Dark money groups don't have to. Look them up. This data may be seven years old, but common sense says they are shoveling wads of money into keeping Trump in office.

stuff will not work as long as Citizens United stands. I know many see Act Blue as a great alternative. If you ask one of those people making a donation of a couple of dollars and paying a handling fee (tip) of an equivalent amount, what does that say?

AJS is just one dark money group. I'd rather expose them. Transparency. If a candidate on the left takes money from a big donor in this environment, look for a clearly articulated policy from the candidate.

I just know that out $25/mo is always shaved off of one portion of our budget or another. I can't wait until the primary season is over.

Did I read that right? On 6/15/12, Peter Thiel donated $1billion to this group?
