After his "great victory", the first people he thanked were the Russians and the Turks ??

Why did he do that?

What did they do to help??

Perhaps they gave him the location of al Baghdadi? In return for pulling back our support for the Kurds? It was a win-win for everybody. Trump gets credit for killing al Baghdadi and the Turks and Russians get to fill the void in Syria. They can help Trump with a campaign issue and he can help them slaughter the Kurds? Sounds like a good deal, unless you're a Kurd.

It just seems rather odd to be thanking the Russians for helping the Americans find and kill al Baghdadi? What exactly did they do?

And he didn't need any advice from the stupid Gang of Eight. He did it all by himself.

It was the military's victory. Not Trumps alone as your title indicates. Just saying

At the White House Sunday morning, President Trump profusely thanked Russia for its alleged involvement in the killing of Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. Trump said: "[The Russians] were very cooperative, they really were good... Russia treated us great. They opened up, we had to fly over certain Russia areas, Russia-held areas. Russia was great."

Russia didn’t seem to see it the same way.

The Russian Defense Ministry’s spokesman, Major General Igor Konashenkov, refuted President Trump’s statement, stating in part: “The Russian Defense Ministry has no reliable information about U.S. servicemen conducting an operation for ‘yet another’ elimination of the former Daesh leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi in the Turkish-controlled part of the Idlib de-escalation zone.”

The Russian Defense Ministry also disputed President Trump’s claim that Russia provided access to U.S. air units entering the airspace over the Idlib de-escalation zone during that mission in Syria. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov declined to provide a comment about President Trump’s announcement, directing everyone to General Konashenkov’s statement.

I think that name suits him well - Fat Nixon. Also, I think Traitor Trump is another one.

He tweeted: "Something big is about to happen".

Then we get his press conference this morning, but no military leaders that were in charge of the operation, were questioned, as far as I could tell?

I am very skeptical about this story.
