Yesterday & Today I Watched MSNBC Almost Exclusively And There Was No Mention Of.....

Trump playing golf during the raid or that this situation room pic was staged. Why?

It seems to me that this would be a big story for them to tout. However, nothing about it.

If this was Obama - this would be the story at the top of the news.

If it is true that Trump was on the golf course during the raid and that this situation room pic is staged - why wouldn't they want to talk about that? Are they protecting Trump?

Do they think that Trump would retaliate with Tweets saying that they are trying to discredit him.

I just don't get it.

If Trump made up the fact that he watched the raid in real time; that aB ran into the one-way cave crying and whimpering - why are they letting him get away with that?

But yeah, if a Democrat had gotten this squirrelly with every last detail, the media would be climbing all over each and every variance. For example, in the immediate aftermath of the Benghazi attack, there was some speculation (quite reasonable speculation) that the video some nitwit preacher had made depicting Mohammed was the trigger for the rage. That was quickly found to not be the case, and the Obama administration didn't waste any more time on it. But oh boy, the Republicans sure spent a lot of time on it! And, because it was "out there," the media had no choice but to report it every time some Republican mentioned it. Or the current kerfuffle over the Bidens: Not a scrap of truth to any of it, but it seems like every day some media outlet has to revisit the issue as if there were some dark truth to it all that was just aching to be revealed.

Trump's little dalliance with the actual details? Silencio from our ever-vigilant media.

situation room watching it all unfold.

So I switched to nbc, who were reporting on a teacher who is so underpaid that she and her kids live with her folks. And she works a second job, and they talked a woman boss of the 2nd job and she bragged how well her company was doing because of trumps tax breaks and how great it is that she has a whole labor base of teachers wanting a second job.

I am from a family of many teachers and this really angered me.I rarely watch msm because of this type of reporting. I have up on abc news a long time ago when they turned into Fox lite.

I believe nothing the rebublicans, the trump administration, or main street media says anymore.

I want reporters to start asking Republicans how they will feel when the next Democratic POTUS does the same thing. Apparently it is also okay for Democratic nominees to ask foreign governments for help. Maybe we can get the pee tape after all!

I know how they feel. I'm still stuck on the booing trump news, and it's 3 days later.

Trump expressly committed an impeachable and probably illegal offense, which makes lying about where he was during a raid seem pretty non-consequential and not worth spending multiple days harping on it.

8. Probably because Trump was not playing golf as it went down.

I know we want to believe that, I certainly found it very credible, but the truth is what it is.

WaPo political section has a timeline of Trump's movements that day.

...we have a good sense of the timeline of the raid and of Trump’s involvement in it.

Trump spent Friday night at the presidential retreat at Camp David.
At 10:34 a.m. on Saturday, he left Camp David.
At 10:55 a.m., he arrived at the Trump Organization golf course in Sterling, Va. He played a round of golf with the commissioner of Major League Baseball and Sens. David Perdue (R-Ga.) and Lindsey O. Graham (R-S.C.)
At 3:33 p.m., his motorcade was en route to the White House.
It arrived at the White House at 4:18 p.m., where a lid was called, meaning that the media should expect no more news for the day.
At about 5 p.m., Trump was in the Situation Room. Eight helicopters departed from Iraq on their way to the compound in northwestern Syrian where Baghdadi was holed up, just outside the town of Barisha.
A photograph of Trump, Vice President Pence and several military officials was taken in the Situation Room at 5:06 p.m., according to metadata on the photo provided to the press.
At about 6:10 p.m., the helicopters arrived at the compound. They reportedly exchanged gunfire with people on the ground.
After some of Baghdadi’s remains were recovered, he was positively identified within 15 minutes and confirmed to be dead at 7:15 p.m. The soldiers collected intelligence and defused two suicide vests worn by women killed in the raid.
At about 8:10 p.m., two hours after arrival, the helicopters departed the compound.
At about 9:20 p.m., assuming the same 70-minute flight time, they arrived at the place where the raid had originated. (Trump said the exfiltration used “an identical route.”)
At 9:23 p.m., Trump tweeted.

That timeline debunks some of the more disparaging assessments of Trump’s activities during the raid. A tweet from the official White House photographer under Obama, Pete Souza, suggested that the photo was taken after the raid had occurred, citing early reports that incorrectly indicated the time of the raid. That tweet prompted additional speculation that the raid occurred while Trump was playing golf, which appears to be incorrect.

It's not a sympathetic article to Trump, who briefed Russia about the raid beforehand but Democratic leaders not at any point.
