John Kerry: Some evidence against Trump 'more powerful already than what we saw in the impeachment of Richard Nixon'In an interview with CNN's Christiane Amanpour on Friday, former Secretary of State John Kerry commented on what he believes is serious evidence that has mounted against President Trump in the House impeachment inquiry. He went on to compare the situation to former President Nixon's impeachment.
"The evidence is powerful, some of it more powerful already than what we saw in the impeachment of Richard Nixon," Kerry said in the CNN interview. "The evidence at this point in time certainly merits the inquiry that is taking place."
The former secretary did not go as far as to say Trump should be impeached, stating "the evidence has to be examined," and that he did not want to draw conclusions.

The evidence, so far, has been overwhelmingly damning for Trump.

He pretty much says that, at this point, fromnwhat we publicly knew, there is more cause than against Nixon. Kerry is a lawyer and was an outstanding prosecutor before he won office. This is exactly what he should have said. Remember that we are not even seeing the testimony - just the opening statements and some comments made from people who saw more.

(59,474 posts)Kerry was wonderful as usual, but the questions were very good. His comments about how tough the abandonment of the Turks was on the troops who worked with them were sad.

What Trump did for Puppetmaster Putin was psychological abuse for our own troops. Putin knew this. Trump is too obtuse to get it as he functions as a narcissist without feelings.
