The Impeachment Investigations/Hearing Will Continue Until...

...either:

Between eight and ten weeks before the General Election next November, at which time the House will vote to impeach, along Party lines, and send the Bill of Impeachment to the Senate, where McConnell will schedule an immediate vote on Removal From Office after an extremely pro-forma "trial" which will result in a No Removal verdict again on Party lines; OR

Until it becomes clear that there are sufficient votes in the Senate for a Removal verdict, in Speaker Pelosi's best estimation as one of the most experienced leaders in the Legislative Branch.

The second option is, of course, preferable-- but highly unlikely.

The first option will give the House the longest possible time to rub American voters' noses in the Consequences of Voting From Stupid Motives, and maximize public awareness of GOP scumfuckery.

Either option works.

Hang in there.

wearily,
Bright

until the GOP Senators know that their seats are endangered. Their own interests, power and money will have to be threatened before the moral cowards will do anything.

Trump adds to it every day. I’d bet he will hang himself as the next few weeks unfold. Just look at the past 2 weeks.

I think we want the state of the union speech to be under the cloud of the investigation, but before the formal charges, as that would give him a great forum to respond on a stage all to himself.

The senate will likely fall in line behind the criminal-in-chief, because that's what they do.

But wrapping it up by March will leave the height of the campaign season for democrats to campaign on both other issues that matter to their local constituents as well as to note the need to vote donnie out after the whole travesty.

Not Johnson, Nixon or Clinton and IMO, having the specter of being impeached before the public for months with more and more damning info coming out, does not favor an impeached orange a-hole running for president.

Forget the repug spew that it will rouse up his base. He hasn't widened his base since he's been in office. All the red-state rallies have been just him preaching to the choir as his approval rating has stayed around 38-42%, not good. It's never even reached 50% and I believe no modern president has been re-elected with an approval rating less than 50%—the most recent examples of one-termers being HW Bush and Carter.

And neither one of them had the adjective of "impeached" in front of their names.

a pRESIDENT, businessman or human being. Even an egomaniac has limits as to the amount and
quality of the attention they can endure. The reTHUGlicans might also take a firm hand in urging him
to resign since that might allow them to maintain their minority party. Or maybe not. One thing for
sure is that the coming months will be VERY interesting to me/us. I gotta put popcorn on my shopping list...
