I've Never Loved Maddow More

On the day the House votes for impeachment, she leads her show with a story about Missouri, where officials are trying to shut down the last women's health care clinic by forcing medically unnecessary procedures in an effort to shut down reproductive freedom in the state.

What a gutsy way to start her show on this historic day: with a 25 minute defense of women's basic constitutional rights.

Hopefully everyone else will feel this soon and the push-back we have will overwhelm them everywhere.

It is that or they will be EXECUTING women soon.

https://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-way/2016/04/08/473518239/periods-as-protest-indiana-women-call-governor-to-talk-about-menstrual-cycles

Last month, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence signed a law imposing new limitations on abortion.

And since then, women have been sending Pence a message.

Well, a lot of messages — about their menstrual flow, and their cramps, and their birth control, and their tampon discomfort, and their bloating, and their menopause.

It's part of an effort called Periods for Pence. A local news channel contacted the woman behind the effort; it says she wishes to remain anonymous and that she started the Facebook page because she felt the new law is invasive.

A nice new BIG planned parenthood facility is being built just across the river in Illinois.

Not all states want to stick their nose in a woman’s privacy.

I worked with some young Catholic guys in an office with about 30 men and 30 women. Seems these Catholic guys didn't believe in birth control, so they timed their wives' cycle as a work around. Sooner or later, they began to speculate about the cycles of the women we work with. I took it as some kind of dirty joke type thing, but pretty soon they seemed to be obsessing over it. i mean, as in bringing it up every day.

Kawanna Shannon, Director of the Planned Parenthood medical facility, recounting their experience trying to adhere to this draconian law moved me to tears. All I could imagine was the look back scenes of The Handmaids Tale. Seriously, tracking women and their periods! One could now see how such a thing as The Handmaids Tale can become a real thing. I'm so glad that Rachel began her show exposing the shenanigans going on in Missouri.

How did you know? already? I am watching her now.

She moves me. What a hard work schedule she must put in,
for us. I sure wished I had her before Dorothy Fulheim. I watched
Dorothy daily for years. I also liked Dorothy's arch enemy Ghoulardi.

I do not deserve Rachel. I wonder how I can tell her
how much I depend (mushy) on her. She helps me and would
like to say "Thanks Rachel".

Everybody had been running it at the exclusion of all other news.

Rachel did a great service by leading with that story. The assault on women's medical care and rights deserves more coverage than it has been getting lately.

24. activists anywhere can destroy missouri republicans
Fri Nov 1, 2019, 12:02 PM

the university of missou broadcasts sports on 6 limnbaugh stations

if missouri republicans would pay $1000 for a 1 hour infomercial or advertisement selling anti-choice bullshit, electing republicans, and attacking planned parenthood on a lumbaugh radio station the university of missouri is endorsing $450,000 worth ($1000 x 15 hrs/day x 5 days = $75,000/WEEK x 6 stations) EVERY FUCKING WEEK FREE and has been since those radio stations were taken over by republicans to blast lumbaugh on them

any radio station with limbaugh is dedicated to trump, global warming denial, and pushing anti choice
all of their hosts have to follow those lines or get fired

the university can be protested by its students and community, it's student orgs can be contacted, their debate team can take this topic up, the advertisers on those stations can be boycotted, and when the uni administration resists (market forces, revenue, political neutrality, etc) looking for apolitical alternatives for broadcasting sports on they can be asked what would they would do if the KKK bought those stations - because that's what happened years ago

republicans will freak out because they need those stations to continue ignored by democrats

media will notice and advertisers will head for the hills
