...Yes Donald Trump had a choice. It was a pretty simple choice. Play this one clean, or play it the Donald's way: cheat, lie, and do things that are illegal and disrespectful. You would think that on this job, he might play it clean. After all, his reputation and his family's reputation, are on the line. He has a job that represents some very special people in the world. I wonder if Donald Trump ever thought of playing it "clean and legal?" On this job, there is world recognition and admiration. But Donald, in my honest opinion, never thought about doing it clean and legal. He had to do this job the.. "Donald Trump Way..
..Perhaps some people along the way advised him to do it the clean and legal way. If Donald had done the very best he could with that way, perhaps he wouldn't be in this mess. Perhaps. Quite a mess.
..But, it looks like that almost from the beginning, Donald decided to do it his way, "The Donald Trump Way". But just as important as doing it "his way" Donald also thought he could .."get away with it" He must have thought that he could easily "get away with it, and never get caught. A few others got caught, and paid a hefty price.. But because he was who he is, he would never get caught
... But Donald Trump was sure he could do what he wanted and not get caught, and get away with it. All Donald had to do was read up on the recent history of the job, but I honestly believe that he thought he could get away with it and someone somewhere would protect him. He did not need to read any history of this job.
.....I guess Donald was wrong again. And he is paying the price, and he will always pay it.

He'd gotten where he was by refusing to play that game, unlike all the losers he'd bested time and again. Why change now? Lying and cheating is mandatory for Republicans in general; not just Trump.
