You don't have to live full-time in your so-called "primary residence"; he won't spend summers there. As long as he lives at Mierda-Loco for more than six months every year it will be considered his primary residence, and Florida doesn't have a state tax. Also, your primary residence can't be forfeited in an asset seizure. And Rachel Maddow said he thinks the Manhattan DA and the SDNY can't come after him if he lives in FL, but of course they can.

by declaring his residence to be FL is nonsense. He's not going to move to Mierda-Loco; he's going to "officially" live there for six months and a day every year but that doesn't mean he'll physically be there all the time. As a practical matter to be a resident of somewhere means you change your address on your drivers' license and other government forms and keep a toothbrush and a change of underwear there. Technically you have to be present but who's going to be watching him and counting the days? Does anyone seriously think he'd give up his faux-Versailles apartment in NYC?

So he will have to be there just about full time during the season. You have to document days spent in the state. How can he do that when his schedule is public information?

Lifelong New Yorker Trump moving primary residence to Florida
BY CAROLINE LINTON

UPDATED ON: NOVEMBER 1, 2019 / 8:47 AM / CBS NEWS

President Trump has changed his primary residence from Trump Tower in New York City to Mar-a-Lago in Florida, the president tweeted Thursday night. "I cherish New York, and the people of New York, and always will, but unfortunately, despite the fact that I pay millions of dollars in city, state and local taxes each year, I have been treated very badly by the political leaders of both the city and state," Mr. Trump tweeted.

The news about Mr. Trump's move was broken by The New York Times, which reported Mr. Trump and his wife, Melania, filed a "declaration of domicile" saying that the Mar-a-Lago Club will be their permanent residence.

"As President, I will always be there to help New York and the great people of New York. It will always have a special place in my heart!' Mr. Trump tweeted.

Mr. Trump moved into Trump Tower at 521 Fifth Avenue when it opened in 1983. While Mr. Trump did not give a reason for the move, one person told the Times that it was primarily for tax purposes. To avoid paying taxes in New York State, Mr. Trump will have to limit the time he spends there. He would have to pay state income taxes if he spends 184 days or more in New York State during a tax year.

New York State as well as New York City are going to be owners of several White Elephant Buildings down the road. Trump knows his fake Real Estate Empire is about to go ka-boom.
