Russian Intelligence Targeted Virginia Election Sites in 2016

RICHMOND, Va. — Russian hackers with the Kremlin’s military intelligence unit targeted Virginia’s election infrastructure in 2016 – a cyber operation now confirmed by current and former state election officials.

The Russian effort searched for vulnerabilities within Virginia’s online election infrastructure, authorities familiar with the matter said. The specific Russian actions targeting Virginia have not been previously reported.

Also, Republicans on the down tickets. Russians installed Trump and a Republican Congress.

Something like the other side will try to use Russia to delegitimize President Trump's win

We all knew that the election didn't begin to pass the smell test from the get go.

I guarantee the full Mueller report will be damning to Trump and company

I think we need to vote him out.

snip of article:

Moscow Mitch McConnell is going to take Donald Trump's quid pro quo and run with it. If he has anything to say about it—and he does: He's the final word—the impeachment recommendation that the House will almost certainly refer to him will be quickly dismissed.

He couldn't be more clear in sending that message. Here's what he said on Wednesday: "Look, I think it’s pretty clear our Democratic colleagues do not have a great affinity for President Trump, but the country cannot afford for Democrats in Congress to take a one-year vacation from any productive legislation just because they’d rather obsess over impeachment."

McConnell made Trump so gleeful with that that he plagiarized it with a tweet. It’s Moscow Mitch in full troll mode. Because he's the guy who so gleefully calls himself the Grim Reaper of House legislation. The guy whose campaign created an actual fake graveyard celebrating the fact that nothing the House accomplishes will be allowed on the Senate floor. He told Kentucky voters last April, "If I'm still the majority leader of the Senate after next year, none of those things are going to pass the Senate. […] They won't even be voted on. So think of me as the Grim Reaper, the guy who is going to make sure that socialism doesn't land on the president’s desk."

for counting. They save the paper and do random yearly audits. Remember, Virginia went blue in 2017.

Unless the article means hackers tried and failed? Or just changed some votes and not enough?

... and knew they couldn’t flip them all without arousing huge suspicion. But razor-thin margins in exactly the states he needed to win... nothing to see here.
