Trump expected to go to UFC match in NYC Saturday night, CNN has confirmed.

2:29 PM - Nov 1, 2019

Any idea what kind of reception he'll get? I'm not super familiar with UFC or its fans.

2nd question I have is, how will this affect Manhattan traffic on Marathon Sunday? Is this going to create a clusterfuck?

so quickly on the heels of being booed at the Nationals' game. People who want to see two fighters trying to kill each other are most likely sympathetic to Republicon "values".

Conor McGregor convicted of assault in Dublin

Mixed martial arts fighter Conor McGregor has pleaded guilty to one charge of assault after an altercation in a Dublin pub in April.

Footage of the incident released in August showed McGregor punching Desmond Keogh in the head at the Marble Arch pub in Drimnagh, south of the centre.

On Friday, the 31-year-old was convicted and fined 1,000 euros (£861).

The court heard Mr Keogh did not want to give a victim statement and that he had accepted an apology from McGregor.

McGregor was promoting his own brand of whiskey at the pub when the altercation took place on 6 April.

"It doesn't matter what happened there - I was in the wrong," he told ESPN in August. "That man deserved to enjoy his time in the pub without having it end the way it did."

The Irishman announced his retirement from the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in March, but has since said he plans to make his return to the sport in January 2020.

You maybe thinking of caged mixed martial arts (MMA).

Regardless, the sport is a vicious bloodlust sport. It likely attracts a overwhelmingly MAGA crowd.

Too damaging. We know the polls are against him but he keeps saying he's up in the polls. Having back to back crowds booing him would be really bad optics.

Just like he did at the HBCU - invite his crowd. They are probably making sure its a Trump friendly audience.
