The OP unfortunately left things somewhat open ended. The photo could have been by a woman hating racist that the background you gave showed, or (if only the OP is considered), it could have been posted by someone whose intent was to show that MAGA people are racists and mysogonists.

someone who has been encouraged to believe that candidates and their ideas should be specifically exciting, i.e., different from those of all the other candidates.

The consensus candidates Democratic voters nominate are seldom that. So every election hundreds of thousands of people are deceived by our enemies and deluded by themselves into thinking they needn't, even shouldn't, bother voting for anyone who isn't an "exciting" choice with "exciting" ideas.

Those "exciting" ideas of course are those that a thousand hostile voices have been saying they are and NOT those they've been insisting are boring to take out the leading candidates running on them.

Meanwhile, THESE parents are not frivolously, easily turned by mindfuckers preying on their weaknesses. Their weakness is effectively fanatic, unquestioning loyalty to their leader, no matter what he does, and their strength is that they vote in high numbers.
