A question concerning an impeachment trial:

I've seen some Facebook folks (tRumpers--not anyone I would seriously call knowledgeable) say that when the Senate trial for tRump comes, the ratpuglikans will call "dozens of witnesses" to testify to the 'crimes' of Hillary/Bill Clinton, Obama, Biden, Soros, Bezos, and other "insidious" liberals, and that it will be so devastating that the Senate will have no choice but to acquit tRump, and "the dummocrats" will be totally humiliated.

So I'm asking just how much shit will the GOPee be able to drag in to a trial presided over by CJ Roberts? In my mind, all that BS is exactly that, and it's all so freakin' irrelevant and manufactured that Roberts wouldn't begin to allow it. Am I right, or are we in for a huge GOPee shit-show?

what they're talking about. There's not going to be any of that crap at the Senate trial. It won't be allowed, because it has nothing whatever to do with the charges against Trump.

All this WingNut whining about lack of due process, and not being able to call their own witnesses is exactly that.

Gym Jordan, Gaetz, McCarthy, Scalise, Gohmert "et al." will, if allowed, subpeona Joe and Hunter Biden ASAP, and spend every second they can turning this into an investigation of the Bidens, not Donald Trump.

That's all they can do, the only strategy they are reduced to, but more than that, IT'S WHAT THEY WANT TO DO.

And I expect it will go downhill quickly from there.

Some of you expect Republican Senators, who will have ALL the power in a Senate trial, won't degrade themselves.
