'Seven whistleblowers' And a story that -- if true -- could be deadly for Jared Kushner

https://spectator.us/seven-whistleblowers-jared-kushner-bin-salman/amp/

Some we know about already. There’s the original whistleblower, the CIA officer at the White House who first reported Trump’s call to the Ukrainian president. Republicans are now pushing to ‘unmask’ him, though his name is already all over the internet. He is, supposedly, a 33-year-old graduate of Yale, a registered Democrat who had worked for both Joe Biden and John Brennan. These facts, so helpful to the White House, are in a ‘dossier’ circulated on Capitol Hill by the president’s allies. There’s also Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, the senior Ukraine expert on the National Security Council, who came to the US from Ukraine — to Little Odessa in Brooklyn — as a child aged three. He arrived to give evidence to the House Intelligence Committee wearing his dark blue Army dress uniform and military ribbons. He said that the White House transcript of the call between Trump and Ukraine’s president had important gaps — and that his attempts to include ‘crucial words and phrases’ had been rebuffed. ‘I am a patriot and it is my sacred duty and honor to advance and defend our country irrespective of party or politics.’ And there’s Tim Morrison, the NSC’s director for European and Russian Affairs, who was one of the small group to have listened to the call. He said that Trump’s ambassador to the EU, Gordon Sondland, told him that Ukraine wouldn’t get US arms unless it investigated Biden.

That’s three whistleblowers. What about the other four? Cockburn’s source says that at least one is nothing to do with Ukraine but instead was reporting a call between Trump and the Saudi ruler, Mohammed bin Salman. Specifically, the whistleblower is said to have ‘concerns’ about what was said on the call about the president’s son-in-law and adviser, Jared Kushner. Kushner himself is known to have a very close relationship with MBS. Cockburn has previously written that Kushner may have been what Cosmo would call an ‘oversharer’ when it came to MBS. Unfortunately, it’s claimed that what he was sharing was American secrets: information Kushner had requested from the CIA would (allegedly) be echoed back in US intercepts of calls between members of the Saudi royal family. Once source said this was Kushner lost his intelligence clearances for a while.

According to Cockburn’s source about the seven whistleblowers, there’s more. It is that Kushner (allegedly) gave the green light to MBS to arrest the dissident journalist, Jamal Khashoggi, who was later murdered and dismembered in the Saudi consulate in Istanbul. A second source tells Cockburn that this is true and adds a crucial twist to the story. This source claims that Turkish intelligence obtained an intercept of the call between Kushner and MBS. And President Erdogan used it to get Trump to roll over and pull American troops out of northern Syria before the Turks invaded. Cockburn hears that investigators for the House Intelligence Committee know this whole tale and the identities of some of the people telling it. Whether any of is true is another matter but Adam Schiff certainly seems to be smiling a lot these days.

Jared and Trump are in this up to their eyeballs. Didn't MBS bail out Jared's building to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars? And what was MBS reason for doing so? Just because he liked Jared? Sounds like a quid pro quo to me. Jared needed money and Jared was willing to swap some of our most top secret information to MBS in exchange for MBS bailing Jared out of the mountain of debt he had amassed, with no way of paying it back. Throwing Kashoggi to the Saudi wolves was just a business transaction as far as these killers are concerned. I hope all of Jared's secrets are soon revealed and he is convicted for his treasonous acts and sentenced to rot in hell. Sun Nov 3, 2019, 11:58 PM
Nov 2019
In Death, Khashoggi Exposes the Corruption of Kushner and Trump NOV 17, 2018

Last October, Jared Kushner paid an unannounced visit to Riyadh, where it’s reported that he stayed up until the wee hours talking “strategy” with the crown prince, apparently his new BFF. He allegedly gave MbS an “enemies list” culled from the classified president’s daily brief, which MbS seems to have used the following month to purge disloyal relatives from government and take their money. Also last October, Kushner’s company received a $57 million loan from Fortress Investment Group, which was recently purchased by SoftFund, a Saudi investment concern, to bail out its troubled property at One Journal Square in Jersey City. (A larger and more widely-reported loan, to bail out the troubled property at 666 Fifth Avenue, came the following summer, via Qatar.)

There is a term for the exchange of U.S. intelligence — or, worse, policy — for money. The term is espionage. It is punishable by death.

I fully admit avoiding details of much going on since the election (I know, it's embarrassing, but for sanity reasons...) yet this story has slept in the background for a YEAR. Why has no one in the press loudly followed up on potential espionage until now, for goodness sake?

Is our very democracy not at stake now?

These people have committed treason. This is the biggest bombshell ever and explains why some information is not being turned over to Adam Schiff.

How will this country handle it?
Will the mainstream press publish this information?
Murder has been committed, aided and abetted by Trump and Kushner; hundreds of Kurds have lost their lives because of this; hard-fought foreign policy has been destroyed. This is undoubtedly treason.
Will Trump, Kushner, Barr, and others be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law?
If not, this is not a country of laws and is no longer a democracy.

Impeachment is not enough, removal from office is not enough. Even if it means tearing this country apart, as did the Civil War, these people, including Trump, must be prosecuted and imprisoned.

60. Horrific, but not surprising. I'd heard much of the Kushner stuff before, but

the big piece which is new to me, is the piece about Erdogan using the Kushner/MBS call as leverage to force Trump on leaving Syria. But it all makes sense IMO.

I don't want this hidden. I want all the secrets exposed.

I said that Edrogan gave up his evidence of Kushner's part in the murder in return for drumpf letting him push out and kill the Kurds. Well. I did equivocate. I said it was either that or he threatened drumpf tower. My first thought was correct.

... to flip and hand over the Northern Syria and the Kurds to the Trurks and Russians?

Treason, murder, blackmail, and selling out or allies, the Kurds by Kushner/Trump.

An urgent request/warning to the denizens of Daily Kos:
(UPDATE x2) Down the rabbit hole we go: Caution on Kushner/Turkey blackmail story

Bob Johnson
Please exercise an abundance of caution on the Kushner/Khashoggi/Turkey blackmail story.

To be honest, I will be surprised if there is any truth to this story, namely because the Washington Post and The New York Times have highly-developed sources on whistleblowers within this administration, and neither paper has even hinted at a story like this.

As noted in the original piece that now sits atop the Rec list, the Daily Mail story is based on a piece by the Cockburn blog in The Spectator. (“Cockburn” is the name of the blog. It is a D.C.-based blog for The Spectator’s U.S. version. There is no single author for the blog, according to The Spectator.)
