Ousted Ukraine ambassador Yovanovitch says she was told to tweet praise of Trump to save her job

Ousted Ukraine ambassador Yovanovitch says she was told to tweet praise of Trump to save her job
The three House committees leading the Trump impeachment inquiry released Monday two transcripts of the behind-closed-doors interviews they have so far conducted.

By Adam Edelman and Josh Lederman

Marie Yovanovitch, the ousted U.S. ambassador to Ukraine, told House impeachment investigators last month that U.S. Ambassador to the European Union Gordon Sondland told her she should tweet out support or praise for President Donald Trump if she wanted to save her job, according to a transcript of her testimony made public Monday.

The three House committees leading the impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump released two transcripts of the behind-closed-doors interviews they have so far conducted as part of their investigation, as the probe moves to a more public phase.

The release of the transcripts triggered an immediate of influx of interest that seemed to overload the House website where the transcripts were posted, with the digital copies briefly unable to be accessed.

Yovanovitch was interviewed by House investigators in October for more than nine hours and has emerged as a key figure in the investigation into Trump’s efforts to persuade Ukraine's new government to commit publicly to investigate corruption and the president's political opponents.

Blackmail is threatening someone because you have some "goods" on them that you can reveal.

Extortion is trying to extract something of value or you will harm them. Knee-capping. Killing family members. Ruining reputations.
Much more trump's mob style.

Okay, you go ahead and tweet out some praise for the sorriest motherfucker on the planet while Amb Yovanovich tries to stay calm and deal with the results of your disgusting fuckery

We've seen Cabinet secretaries acting like sycophantic courtiers to a king, going around the room praising a moron and criminal. He needs it, he demands it. To him, these people are there to love and serve him. Their competence doesn't matter, neither do their backgrounds. They are there for Trump, and only Trump.

all he cares about is how it plays in the media. the whole thing about the Ukrainians doing the investigation was that they announce it. with Comey he was fired because Comey wouldn't publicly state he was not a subject of the investigation.

it's all just a show to satisfy his bottomless, sick ego.
