Why Ukraine??

It’s not about the gas/oil. It’s deeper in the Russian (Putin’s) psyche. Putin would be another Stalin if he could be & Ukraine has long been a key piece of Russia/the Soviet Union. Losing it to the west would cut deep into Russian nationalism. And Putin blames much on Hillary

Why does Putin want to control Ukraine? Ask Stalin.
Russia’s attitude has roots in the revolution — and in the famine that killed 13 percent of Ukrainians.

This idea...this sentiment...has apparently become ingrained in #TraitorTrump @realDonaldTrump due to his close ties with Putin and is why #RudyColludy @RudyGiuliani has been running a shadow State Dept for a couple of years to combat opposition to tRump re-election in 2020

to restore the old Soviet Union influence by any and all means possible. The postings here are even more important when viewed in the context of the 2020 elections and the scary fact that nothing has been substantially done to prevent Russia from overriding the will of the people at the polling stations. Can only hope the high tech security firms are partnering with our IC to protect the vote.

i havent read rachel's book, but have seen at least a half dozen interviews.

her big point is about the reason russia is a one industry economy.
pootie likes oil and gas because of the power he gets from turning the spigot on and off. but his country is too backwards to build their own, good infrastructure.
sanctions are killing them for that reason.

the reason someone picked rex tillerson was so that the exxon deal that the sanctions wrecked could get back on track.
