We HAVE to be concerned that a divided nation wanting to get rid of Trump but unsure about the Democratic candidate could do that again in 2020 -- presidency to Dems, both houses of congress to Repubs.

Exactly as the nation did when electing our first black (Democratic) president. By a large, enthusiastic margin, but some hedging that great advance with a knuckledragging red congress.

I'm happy too at this demonstration that the midterms' blue wave continues, but winning the presidency alone would be a pyrrhic victory.

by her saying that in her African American community growing up, it was at best 50-50 Rep-Dem. A lot of their families never switched after 1964 (having been Republican because of Lincoln etc), and it carried on with their kids.

there are economic and social conservatives in every demographic. Then you will encounter the crab-barreling types who are generally upper middle class and/or older and they support racial profiling against younger poorer minorities since they may have gone through it back in the day and want others to suffer.

I mean, Mississippi literally used Jim Crow laws last night to elect their Republican Governor.

I as a Jew would never ever endorse a candidate or party that was full of White supremacists and Neo Nazis. I don't care what their other policies are.

If the Moron manages to stay in office until the election, I think all the signs are that it won’t even be close enough for them to steal! Locally Democrats took over Delaware County, which is a major deal.
