The long term Republican plan to gradually (until recently) pull the Democratic Party to the right is unabated. Republicans have moved the chains with determination yet we feel that apparently any candidate other than Biden is too risky. After Trump? Really?

They are succeeding in their quest because we feel that regardless of our candidate, we can’t put up a strong enough argument to get anyone but Biden elected. We are not willing to place our strong beliefs on the face of any of our candidates. So, we take the safe way, which arguably does have merit in the all out war that we are engaged in, but still illustrates the weakness of our thinking.

I felt from early on that Biden would be the nominee. I can only hope that he selects a cannonball for VP.

When MF45 was elected I had recently joined my county Democrat Central Committee. The Chairwoman opened with how heartbroken we all were about Hillary losing. I interrupted with "Some of us have had our hearts broken twice." My state Democrats voted for Bernie in the primary and I did vote for HRC in the General election. I honestly can't remember what she said next but I interrupted again with "I'm tired of Democrats giving in more than what they get". She politely shut me down. I agree, this was her opening statement but I was new and didn't know we should just let her speak, my bad.
I STFU but a man leaned over and gave me his card, to call him if I needed him. I was so acknowledged by his action.

Back to your statement, once again, I feel acknowledged in my opinion. Thank you for that sentence.

most Republicans will then say he's a socialist anyway. No Democrat, no matter how conciliatory, centrist, or willing to reach across the aisle, is EVER to their liking.

he/she is going to be the craziest socialist/communist/evil villain in history and we need to be very very afraid.
We need to be pushing back on that at every opportunity, not in defense of or in conjunction with any one of our candidates but in a broad generic fashion.

is. I looked at all the candidate. I watched every debate. I try to watch every time a candidate is a guest on MSNBC, CNN, and even one of the talk shows that come on after the news at night. One by one, I form an opinion of each candidate. By now, there are a number of candidates that I've crossed off my list of candidates I pay attention to. Made those for different reasons for each one. I've narrowed by choices down to 3 for the presidency. Biden, Warren & Buttiegieg. I can give you reasons why I've put each one in positions 1, 2. & 3.

I don't think many are choosing their candidate because they feel he/she is the safe choice!

.... root out the corruption and grifting brought to the WH by the most corrupt president in modern history and very likely a traitor to American National Security.

The recent results in Kentucky, Virginia, and Pennsylvania would suggest the 2020 blue wave is starting to build.

So I have to agree with the final statement GO F**K YOURSELF!

Any time the gop criticizes our candidate, they should be met with "Look at WHAT you chose as your party's representative!!" I think the Mafia has more ethical members than the current gop.

To them, he’s their “tough guy” who’s “keeping us safe” from those evil immigrants and Muslims. They love his oafish ways and how he thumbs his nose at our European allies. He has made their racism and bigotry acceptable. He panders to the religion zealots. They love him and excuse anything he does, no matter how boorish or lawless.

Who can't forget at the SOTU when a repig shouted out "you lie" to President Obama. That is what we are dealing with thugs/criminals.
