Acting U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Bill Taylor told the House committees leading the formal impeachment inquiry into President Trump that then-National Security Adviser John Bolton was opposed to Trump's July 25 phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Ambassador Bolton was not interested in having did not want to have the call because he thought it was going to be a disaster, Taylor testified. He thought that there could be some talk of investigations, or worse, on the call.
"Turned out he was right. So he didnt want to have the call.
Taylor said he thought that ultimately, acting White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney helped schedule the phone call, which has fueled calls for impeachment.

(5,499 posts)Think they can go into the White House and set Trump straight. And they all end up walking away. It just shows how crazy Trump is. He is our Henry the 8th.
If the Senate Republicans do not remove him, they should be held responsible for all of the damage he is causing.
