I think it is one of two things, or maybe both.
1. The Russians have enough control over the Trump Org. finances that Putin could bring down his entire company in a day.
2. Trump did some really ugly shit with underage girls at the Miss Universe contest held in Moscow. Putin has tapes since surveillance is a given in Russia.
One thing is apparent, Putin is calling the shots with this Administrations. From Ukraine to Syria, Iran to China, Trump is Putin's lackey.

One more thing I thought of. While Mueller could not uncover an "smoking gun" of Trump personally colluding with Russians. I am sure Putin has recordings of every conversation Trump had with them.

When you look at the financial history of Trump, the banks wouldn't deal with him. He's in real estate. That requires banking to grow and survive. After the economic downturn, where he defaulted on hundreds of millions in loans - including to Deutsche Bank, all of a sudden Deutsche Bank, who have also been nailed for laundering Russian money, loans him bundles more.

Then you see what Manafort was up to and the multiple Trump ties to Russia and it's oligarchs. And Trump fighting like hell to make sure no one see his financials or tax returns.

I strongly suspect the Russians bailed him out and own him. Thats not news as many feel that way.

I believe Putin promised Trump a piece of the Rosneft Oil action.

It would be a vast revenue stream that Trump couldn't possibly fuck up like he fucked up all his other business ventures. All Trump would have to do is betray his country per Putin's instructions, then sit back and rake in the Rosneft profits.

Though I don't believe Putin would have ever delivered on his end of the deal. Why would he? Putin gets what he wants out of Trump while he is in office, then stiffs him.

3. Trump gave air defense weapons to Poland. Who is Poland afraid of? Russia!
