It is generally wise to educate yourself before telling someone else they are stupid..... and even then.

I am guilty of assuming that a large percentage of his votes had to come from people in lower economic status, but I dont know that so I withdrew it, it is ignorant of me to assume.

It’s weird, and I’m trying to figure it out because hubby and I just retired here. It’s Republicans get sent to Washington, but normally democrats get elected for state. I’ve only lived here 2 years, so I’m trying to understand why. it doesn’t always work, but it does offer how people here aren’t always party aligned.

The county that I live in, all democratic in the county seats. It must be some historical voting patterns, and Andy did hit some coal country areas. That even amazed me.

By the way, I’m a NYer, raised in Westchester county. I’m trying to understand these people, just not say, well they are broke which means stupid.

vote for someone who is obviously trying to harm you, etc. that this is an amazing thing to watch.

Voting against one's interests is not unique to your state, for sure.

But I will never get over how many people vote to harm themselves.

Trump didn't get elected because people voted against their interests. People voted for Trump because they thought he was the best candidate to meet the interests most near and dear to their hearts.

Bevin still represents something that 700,000 Kentucky voters think is top priority. It is simply a different priority than mine and yours. People don't vote to harm themselves.
