...He orders people around, and insults those who will not follow. He has a following as bullies do, but that following is limited to certain people who like his "style." The majority of us hate the "bully" because of many reasons that have nothing to do with being a bully. He is full of hate and spews it often when his mouth is open. He uses others to further the hate. He is unkind in a way that hard to imagine. And like all bullies, he never stops. Trump has a lifetime of being a bully, and seems to enjoy being the bully...
.....Trump may not know it, but his time is going to end a year from now, or perhaps sooner. When he is gone, we can breath fresh air again. At least his stink will be gone most of the time. He may show up here and there, but he will not be the leader he is now. We will all be able to "choose" when or "if" to watch and listen to his hate and stupidity. Those days cannot come soon enough. Currently, his job deserves attention, but in the future he will be "has been" and most will avoid him like the plague.

He was enabled by his parents and their money. I'm sure they provided early protection for his awful behavior and later learned to use lawyers and corrupt officials to protect him. It's a pattern he's continued his whole life. It's his way of being in the world and all he knows.

(99 posts)Nauseating to think that the president of a world power is a sadist and, whats more, that he was voted into power in a democracy.
Democracy has been the least bad system of governance available. Probably still is. But if monsters like this can rise to power within a democracy, I worry that people will lose faith in the system and start entertaining alternatives that are likely to have even worse outcomes; more authoritarian. The only thing that has managed to keep him restrained so far is a well-established system of checks and balances.

(38,419 posts)Worthless, useless, and poison. We didn't hear from Nixon, and it will be worse for Trump. Nixon knew but Trump, because of his personality, doesn't know. Maybe Trump can make it with the 20 percent who will still believe him when all this is done. Yes, I think when it all comes out, 80 percent will see him as the traitor that he and his family are and will always be.

(2,809 posts)Shortly after the 2016 election debacle, I got tail-gated, chased with horn blowing in my little SMART car, several miles down a country road. Sure enough, when I found a public spot in a town to pull over and let the idiot by in their oversized, jacked up pickem-up truck, there they were. The "Trump 2016" stickers all over the back.
