NEW YORK A few fun facts about Kanye West: He's running for president in 2024, he recited color psychology to wife Kim Kardashian West as she sat in a morning bath Thursday, and he was fired at 16 for shoplifting at the Gap where he worked.
West, with Kim in tow, let loose with those pearls and more during a surprise 35-minute appearance before a crowd of about 500 at Fast Company's Innovation Festival.
Accompanied on stage by Steven Smith, lead designer of West's shoe brand Yeezy, West dug into the nuts and bolts of the fashion industry. He said he plans to make his manufacturing entirely eco-friendly, moving it all to South and North America in the next two years, including at his 4,000-acre ranch in Cody, Wyoming.

(102,141 posts)I guess as long as he somehow brings in $$ they are just fine with whatever ridiculous nonsense and tangent he is spewing this week.
I know there are some that argue that the "creative" bipolar individual must be allowed to experience their mania rather than follow their medication protocol, but I think that is a very controversial and potentially risky approach.

(5,801 posts)Kanye West says he is considering legally changing his name to "Christian Genius Billionaire Kanye West."
The rapper expressed frustration at Forbes magazine for not designating him billionaire status, despite his Yeezy shoe line expecting to exceed $1.5 billion in sales this year. In June, Forbes put West's net worth at $240 million.
West told attendees at the Fast Company Innovation Festival in New York Thursday that he wants to show other black Americans that it's possible to achieve billionaire status, even if he has to change his name to do it.
"Martin Luther King didn't get killed because he had a dreamhe had something else he was gong to talk about. He talked about black empowerment, economic empowerment," West said at the event, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
