Trump just gives out his seal of approval on people and things without the details? I dunno peeps...

That doesn't sound like something a great businessman should or would do...

President Donald Trump has a history of distancing himself from associates who have found themselves in legal trouble or turned on him in some way.

We heard him do it last year with his former personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, and his former campaign chairman, Paul Manafort. On Friday, we heard him do it with the man he appointed as ambassador to the European Union, Gordon Sondland.

"Let me just tell you: I hardly know the gentleman," Trump told reporters on the South Lawn of the White House.

But hold on! Back in early October... (Cue awesome wavy flashback effect complete with doodle-ooo doodle-ooo sound effect):

Trump defended the decision to prevent Sondland's testimony, saying the Democrats' inquiry is illegitimate.

"I would love to send Ambassador Sondland, a really good man and great American, to testify, but unfortunately he would be testifying before a totally compromised kangaroo court, where Republican’s rights have been taken away, and true facts are not allowed out for the public," Trump tweeted Tuesday morning.

Hmm, makes one wonder what else Trump calls "good" or "great" without really knowing who or what it is or if it really is all that good or great, right?

President Donald Trump suggested Tuesday that he trusted his "gut" over the "brains" of experts, as he delivered his harshest rebuke yet of his Federal Reserve chairman.

Trump, speaking in an interview with The Washington Post, blamed declines in the stock market and General Motors' announcement the previous day of shutting multiple plants and laying off more than 14,000 workers in North America on high interest rates. GM has cited fears of an economic downturn and Trump's tariffs for the decision.

"I'm doing deals, and I'm not being accommodated by the Fed," Trump said. "They're making a mistake because I have a gut, and my gut tells me more sometimes than anybody else's brain can ever tell me."

If he's getting his inspiration from his gut, he needs to dial it back on the hamberders and diet coke.
